William C. Rothrock

Weatherford – William C. Rothrock, 86, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday October 8, 2024 in Arlington.

Graveside service will be 11AM Wednesday October 16, 2024 at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Officiant is Fred Raney.

William was born July 22, 1938 in Reading, Pennsylvania to Clarence M. and Esther B. (Stock) Rothrock. He married Edith Galttana in 1961 in Dayton Ohio and was married for over 62 years until her passing in April 2024. William proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he attended school for Basic Airborne. He also had basic combat training, military Justice CBR training, code of conduct and Recondo School. He received a parachutist badge as well as a rifle and pistol sharpshooter badge. William spent many years with the Boyd ISD as an electrician and also worked in the maintenance department.

He was a son, husband, father and grandfather and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Esther Rothrock; wife Edith Rothrock; and brother Robert Rothrock.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Penny Sanner and husband
Darren of Weatherford; granddaughter, Miranda Sanner and grandson Kent Sanner also of Weatherford, and a host of family and friends.
