DECATUR - William Ross Tigert, 75, a retired welder of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 21, 2009 in Fort Worth.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Robert Howard officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetary in Denton. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
William was born February 7, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant Texas to William Alexander and May Bell (Hill) Tigert. He married Wanda June Sprabary on June 9, 1956 in Denton. He was a member of Central Fellowship Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, June Tigert; daughter Angela Lynn Hernandez and husband Bobby of Boyd; 2 Grandchildren, Christopher Allen Lynch and wife Elizabeth of Decatur, and Michael Dale Lynch of Decatur; 1 Great Grandaugter Trinity Rose Whitaker; 1 Sister Juanita Fulgham of Edgewood, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. William was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and his parents.
