William Allen Wilde

Memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday, August 6th at the Wise County Veterans Park, 406 North Trinity, Decatur with Fred Utz and Patti Mahaffey officiating.

Bill was born on September 12, 1936 in Beeville, Texas to Bernard J. and Mary (Fisher) Wilde. He was united in marriage to Kerry McDaniel on May 23, 1968 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Bill retired from Petroleum Helicopter, Inc. as a Helicopter Pilot. He served as major in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Methodist church.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Kerry Wilde of Decatur; 2 daughters, Ronda Boyd of Decatur, Krissa Lopez and husband John of Dickinson, Texas; 2 sons, Rick Boyd and wife Faith of New York, Camdon Wilde and wife Melissa of Alamagordo, New Mexico; 9 grandchildren, Brad, Cody, Caitlyn, Wesley, Bradley, Brandy, Kessa, Keelan and Noah; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Holly Laird; other family members and a host of friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and son, Tony Wilde.
