Bridgeport ~ William “Bill” Benham, 82, a retired auctioneer and diesel mechanic, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Terry Latham will officiate. Pallbearers include Lynwood Harvick, Leon Wilkerson, Brent Singleton, Monty Fitzgerald, Jay Singleton, and Rick Morales. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Boswell, Jim Clater and Andy Mendoza.
Bill was born on June 17, 1934 to Doyle and Zada (Dillingham) Benham in Pine Springs, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Donella Ruth Latham on April 2, 1955 in Wellington, Kansas.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Donella Benham of Bridgeport; his daughters, Debbie Singleton and husband Brent of Bridgeport, Karen Harvick and husband Lynwood of Balsora, Brenda Wilkerson and husband Leon of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Jay Singleton, Kasey Walraven, and Marissa Hughes; his great-grandchildren, Isabella and Kelsey Singleton; other relatives and a host of friends.
