Runaway Bay ~ Col. William E. Pedigo, 97, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019, at the Runaway Bay Community Church with burial in Eternal Oaks Cemetery.
William was born March 19, 1921 to Clifford and Gladys (Rogers) Pedigo in Liberal, Kansas. He was united in marriage on February 23, 1944 to Jacque Carter in Phoenix, Arizona. William and his late wife Jacque retired to Runaway Bay, helping found the Runaway Bay Community Church and lived there over twenty years.
Col. Pedigo spent 30 years in the Air Force as a bomber pilot during WWII, flying the B24 and B17 on thirty missions over Germany. During his career he also flew the B47 and B48.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 68 years, Jacque Pedigo.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Wallace Pedigo of Wichita, Kansas; his daughter, Susan Hickman and husband Gene of Helena, Montana; his son, Ron Pedigo and wife Paula of Yellville, Arkansas; his grandsons, Ira Hickman and wife Leslie of Washington, and Ryan Pedigo and wife Erin of Godley; his granddaughters, Wendy Baptist and husband Scott of Colorado, and Kelly Cortney of Fort Worth; and numerous great-grandchildren.
