William "Bill" Walker Reid

Hurst~ William “Bill” Walker Reid, 81, went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Denton.

Graveside service is 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, at East Bridgeport Cemetery.

Bill was born on December 9, 1942 to Benjamin E. and Nellene (Leath) Reid in Bridgeport. He owned a sheet metal fabrication business for over 30 years. He loved to work with his hands. Bill could figure out how to build or do anything he put his mind to. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. And in his later years, he loved to tell anyone he met a story or a joke. Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Reid and Nellene Bourland; and his sister, Linda Hicks.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kim Hand and husband Jason of Argyle, Texas and Sheri Kimbal and husband Trevor of Yorktown, Virginia; his grandchildren, Sarah, Colin, Ashley, and Emily; his sister, Cathy Hurley; other relatives and a host of friends.
