Bridgeport ~ William Charles “Charlie” Spiller, 92, an oil and gas engineer, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 10, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Charlie was born on August 16, 1924 to William and Ida (Sutton) Spiller in Marion, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Betty “Mickey” McVay on August 31, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri. Charlie held a Bachelors Degree in engineering and worked as vice president and division manager for Mitchell Energy for 15 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Charlie was a member of Emmanuel Church in Fort Worth. He loved playing golf.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 69 years, Mickey Spiller of Bridgeport; his daughters, Jane Ann Luxton and husband Ernie of Weatherford, Patricia Lee Ford and husband Tom of Rosanky, Texas; his son, Charles Arthur Spiller and wife Naomi of Cape Fair, Missouri; his grandchildren, Lauren Segura and husband Kellen; Camden Spiller and wife Sarah, Riley Spiller and wife Anna, Camille Austin and husband Andrew, Emily Spiller, Emerson Spiller, Bradi Anne Spiller, Mack Spiller and wife Heidi; 7 great grandchildren; other family members, and a host of friends.
