FUNERAL: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Reverend Rusty Waller with First Baptist Church Gordonville will officiate. Family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday night at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Willie B. Morris was born on August 14, 1912 at Grays Chapel, Alabama. He came by train with his mother, father and siblings to Texas when he was five. He grew up mostly in Wise County. He went to school at Slidell. And Leo. Willie B. and his identical twin Brother, Billie T. were born to Sallie Carlton Morris and Joseph C. Morris. Willie B. was married to Dorothy Lee Roberts on November 20, 1931 in Marietta, Love County Oklahoma. To this union were born three sons, Willie Dale, James Leroy, and Jack Darwin Morris. Willie B. was a farmer and dairyman. He and Dorothy built a house on their farm south of Alvord. He also worked for Bell Helicopter Plant and retired from Bell. They also were longtime and active members of Mt. Zion Baptist as their sons were growing up. They built a new home in 1957 and moved to Alvord. They moved their membership to First Baptist Church at Alvord. Willie B. was a faithful member and deacon. He served as City Councilman of Alvord, Member and Worshipful Master of Alvord Masonic Lodge #512. Willie B. was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, mother and father, and sister, Cynthia Chisum, brothers Calvin, George, Jake and twin Billie T. Morris. Grandson, Russell Don Morris, great grandson, Joseph Alan Morris, and a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
SURVIVORS: Include sons and wives, Willie Dale and Melvadean Morris of Alvord,, James Leroy and Sylvia Clydena Morris of Gordonville, Texas, Jack Darwin and wife Delores Ann Morris of Odessa, Texas. 7 Grandchild.ren, 20 Great Grandchildren; 10 Great great Grandchildren, and Sister Betty Ballard of Ft. Worth. 4 step great grandchildren and 2 step great-great grandchildren.
Willie B. Had been at Decatur Convalescent Center for a number of years due to his declining health. Willie B. will be missed by his large family and many friends. Among his favorite things to do, when his health permitted was to take care of his farm and range cattle. He loved to go to Nebraska with friends and family to hunt pheasant. Willie B. had a ready smile and was always glad to see family and friends. He was a hardworking man and loved his family. Willie B. was a man of faith and loved reading his bible and going to church. We have not lost Willie B. because we know where hi is and someday, we will see him again.
