Willie Vernice Seelye

Chico ~ Willie Vernice Seelye, 85, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Decatur.

Graveside Service is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Fred Raney will officiate. Pallbearers are Xavier Hernandez, Anthony Lopez, Curtis Keener, and Julio Ortega.

Willie was born on December 17, 1938 to John Barney and Alice Bell (Lynch) Latham in Denison. She was united in marriage to Bobby Roy Seelye on April 11, 1962 in Denison. They were together 54 wonderful years before his passing in 2016. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Latham; her husband, Bobby Roy Seelye; her son, Roy Lee Seelye; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and her grandson, Dustin Wayne Seelye.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Ronny Ray Seelye; her daughter-in-law’s, Lisa Marshall and Rena Seelye; her grandchildren, Bobby Ray Seelye, Ashley Marie Seelye, and Cody Hixon; other relatives and a host of friends.
