Willie White

Fort Worth ~ Willie White, 89, went to be with our Lord Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Euless.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Rev. Robert White will officiate.

Willie was born on December 18, 1927 to Willis Arch and Rilla Mae (Stacy) White in Oktaha, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Mary Reasoner in November of 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas. Willie worked for the Fort Worth Star telegram for more than 40 years until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Willie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport. He was a member of the Typographical Union and a lifetime member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; his daughter, Susan Moore; his son, Willis Dale White Jr.; his sisters, Wanda Miller, and Glyndyne Elson; and his brothers, Jack White and Earton Lee White.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lea Ann White of Fort Worth; his sons, Robert White and wife Pam of Fort Worth, Archie White and wife Jan of Saginaw; his sister Loretta Wilson of Edenburge,Tx; his stepsons, Jerry Morrow and wife Becky of Bridgeport, Dale Morrow and wife Lolita of Fort Worth, Kenny Morrow and wife Donna of Paradise; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members; and a host of dance partners and friends.
