Decatur: Willis Kemp "Bubba" Boydston, 78, a self-employed cement contractor, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Sweetwater Cemetery with Reverend Charles Taylor officiating. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bubba was born August 6, 1931 in Decatur to Charlie Simmons and Bertha Elizabeth Kemp Boydston. He married Patsy Jean King on July 15, 1956 in Decatur. Bubba served in the United States Army and was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Pam Wood and husband, Raymond of Decatur; two sister, Charlene Eakman of Decatur, Opal Othell Smith of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Nicki and Natalie Wood; numerous nieces, nephews and host of friends.
Bubba is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Patsy Boydston; brother, Carroll Boydston and sister, Della Cisco.
