Chico ~ Willy Vincent, 82, a retired maintenance worker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 17th at First Baptist Church in Chico with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Ken Hedstrom will officiate. Pallbearers include Dylan Vincent, Randy Vincent, Rusty Vincent, John Maddux, Nathan Byers, Colby Byers, and Mike McCasland.
Willy was born on November 25, 1930 to Samual and Lenna (Billingsley) Vincent in Mansfield, Texas. He was united in marriage to Nelda Morgan on November 17, 1971 in Chico. Willy served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Willy retired from Wise County Precinct 4 as a maintenance worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kevin Dowel Vincent; his granddaughter, Natalie Byers; his brothers, Homer, Lawrence, Robert Lee and Sam Vincent.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Nelda Vincent of Chico; his sons, Willy Jack Vincent and wife Robin of Chico, David Evans and wife Tina of Jacksboro, and Ralph Evans and wife Lanora of Chico; his daughter, Debbie Byers and husband Larry of Chico; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; his sister, Ruby Elizabeth Jones of Graham; other family members and a host of friends.
