Windel Guy Oldham

Windel Guy Oldham, 84, of Rhome, went to be with our Lord on Sunday March 9, 2025 with family and friends around him.

Memorial service is 1 PM Thursday March 13, 2025 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Visitation will be 11-1 PM at the Funeral Home.

Drew Whitington will officiate.

Windel was born December 13, 1940 in Paduca, Texas to James and Louise (Taylor) Oldham. On June 15, 1962 in Grapevine, Texas he married the love of his life Coeurd'Alene “Corky” Toyer. Together they raised two beautiful children and enjoyed watching them excel in life.

Windel graduated from Keller High School in 1959 and after high school he worked 38 years as an electrical assembler at Bell Helicopter. Though he loved hunting, fishing and gardening his time with his family meant the world to him. Family was a big priority and he enjoyed every minute with his children, grandchildren as well as his great grandchildren.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Louise Oldham, grandson Reid Oldham, brothers, James Gordon Oldham and John Wayne Oldham and Richard Lee Oldham.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife 62 years Coeurd’Alene; daughter Lisa Evans and husband Marty of Arlington; son Wes Oldham and wife Shelley of Sanger; brothers, David Ray Oldham, and Henry Monroe Oldham. sister Joann Byram; grandchildren, Kelcie Dao and Danny, Kacie Dolezel and Skylar, Allie Stanley and Josh, Riley Oldham, Diana Gomez and Alex. Great grandchildren; Cash, Holland, Beckham, Lainey and Jace and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like send a special thank you to Holly Gavre, Sheila Clemmons and Concho Hearts Hospice and Right at Home in Rhome, Texas for their wonderful care given to Windel.
