Decatur: Winetta B. Morris, 83, a seamstress and homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Monday, June 14, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17th at Community Church with Pastor John Redfearn officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Brandon Kilmer, Justin Morris, Jeff Kilmer, David Kilmer, Joe Kilmer, Jr., and Jeremy O'Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Hill, Terry Hess, Martin Ard, and Terry Richardson.
Winetta was born October 18, 1926 in Burkburnett, Texas to Sidney Leon and Martha Agatha Roberts Hancock. She married Albert Morris, Jr. on December 24, 1947 and was married 54 years at this death on March 6, 2002. Winetta loved to crochet and was a member of Community Church for almost 15 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters; Martha Kilmer of Decatur; Joetta Kilmer and husband, Ray of Krum; three sons, David Michael Morris and wife, Karen of Whitesboro, Calvin Wayne Morris and wife, Trena of Chico, Tim Morris and wife, Keitha of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Jeff, Justin, Kayla, Tiffany, Kristin, David, Kim, Joyce, Joe Jr., Anji and Marcy; 16 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; brother, Sidney Leon Hancock; sister, Lavelle Roberts; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Winetta is also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Grady Hancock and son-in-law, Loren Joe Kilmer.
