CRAFTON -- Wysonda Stockard, 78, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 17, 2007 in Crafton.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at Hawkins Funeral Home. Reverend Kenneth Wood and Reverend Kern Choate officiated. Burial: Crafton Cemetery. Pallbearers: Heath Sparks, Todd Low, Eddie Rogers, Jerry Rogers, Johnny Clifton, Marty Swartfager and Gary Shield. Visitation: 5-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Wysonda was born January 4, 1929 to Johnny and Lillie Mae Farar Clifton in Newport, Texas. She married Nelson C. Stockard April 19, 1947 in Chico. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary and the New Hope Fellowship in Chico. Wysonda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Carl Wayne Stockard and her brother, Jesse Clifton.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce McDaniel and her husband Harold of Crafton; her two sons, Ricky Stockard and his wife Sue of Crafton and Wendell Stockard of Crafton; 4 grandchildren, Traci Davidson, Carl McDaniel, Bobby Stockard and Stephanie Salazar; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alma Sparks of Chico and Nita Ogle of Decatur; 2 sisters-in-law, Kay Clifton and Jo Mercer, both of Chico; other relatives and a host of friends.
