Yolanda (Mendoza) Sandate

Decatur ~ Yolanda Sandate, 65, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 27, 2020 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pastor Juan Alvaro Rodas will officiate. Pallbearers include  Danny Sandate, Daniel Sandate, Jesus Sandate, Jr, J.C. Fraga, Edgar Vasquez, and Charlie Sandate.

Yolanda was born on October 9, 1954 to Francisco and Maria (Del Refugio Dominguez) Mendoza in Zaragoza Coahuila, Mexico. She was married to Jesus M. Sandate for 47 years.  Yolanda was a retired cook and a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Luisa; and her brother, Isidro.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Jesus Sandate of Decatur; 2 sons, Daniel Sandate and wife Fabiola, Jesus Sandate, Jr and wife Griselda; 3 daughters, Esmeralda Fraga and husband Julio, Petra Vasquez and husband Edgar, Christina Sandate and husband Lupe Aranda; 13 grandchildren, Danny, Shelby, Julio Jr., Daisie, Glendy, Aaron, Alicia, Samuel, Jesus, Milagros, Jaden, Rickey and Edgar; 2 great-grandchildren, Thiago and Xander; her sister, Martha; 5 brothers, Juan, Santiago, Pedro, Jose Israel and Valente; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
