Billy Dale Moody

Chico ~ Billy Dale Moody, 62, went to be with our Lord Monday, May 8, 2023 in Chico.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Friday at Jim Ned Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Danny Russell will officiate. Pallbearers are Ricky Manning, Brandon Hood, Billy McCasland, Michael McDaniel, Billy McDaniel, and Jeromy Brown.

Billy was born on July 30, 1960 to Louis and Nona (Boswell) Moody in Bridgeport. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Shorty, Glenn, and Gene Moody; 4 sisters, Nancy McCasland, May, Fay, and Kay Moody; and his step son, Billy Escobedo.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Linda Branscum of Alvord; 2 sons, Larry Dale Moody of Decatur and Jake Moody and wife Nikki of Bridgeport; 7 sisters, Rosie Thompson, Nora Hood and husband Lott, Hattie Hale and husband Dale, Sherry Brown, Thelma Thompson, Doris Jenkins, Carandy Guinn and husband Johnny; 2 brothers, Leon Moody and wife Teresa and James Moody; 2 grandchildren, Joe Lynn Moody and Joseph Talamantes; his step-children, Susan McDaniel and husband Johnny and Robin Stapp; his step-grandchildren, Michael McDaniel, Ty McDaniel, Andrew Stapp, and Bailey Escobedo; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
