Bobby Allen "Whitey" Brown

Bridgeport ~ Bobby "Whitey" Brown, 63, of Bridgeport went to be with his Lord Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pallbearers include Delvon Campbell, Rex Hoskins, Daniel Sandate, Victor Monjaraz, Tyrone Heaton, and Eddie Cashion. Honorary will be Terry Boyd and Trent Horner.

Whitey was born December 4, 1957 in Wichita Falls to Marvin and Mary (Cearley) Brown. He married Sherea Allen on May 17, 1991 in Paradise, Texas. Whitey worked for over 20 years for the City of Decatur and was a Reserve Police Officer for over 33 years for the Decatur Police Department.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Sherea Brown of Bridgeport; daughter, Shaunda Fort of Decatur; sons, Kenny Green and wife Linda of Decatur, Kirk Green and wife Brittany of Bridgeport, and Donnie McGuire and wife Natalie of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his mother, Mary Brown of Sunset; sister, Cindy Hanks of Bowie; adopted brother, Terry Boyd of Lewisville; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

Whitey was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Connie Elrod, and a brother, Marvin Ray Brown.
