Carolyn June Kimbrell

Bridgeport~ Carolyn June Kimbrell, 86, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Bridgeport.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29th, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow, 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rick Neathery will officiate. Pallbearers will include Jesse Lee Wells, Michael Wells, Chris Howell, Zach Johnson, Jeremy Gentry, Aden Wells, Joshua Gentry, and Maddie Fagan.

Carolyn was born on October 30, 1936 to James Russell and Lottie Daphine (Bray) McKee in Robinson, Illinois. Carolyn was united in marriage to Leland C. Kimbrell on January 17, 1952 in Star City, Arkansas. They were married 58 1/2 years until his passing on June 29, 2010. She was a homemaker, and a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland C. Kimbrell; her sisters, Nellie Garner, Gwen Kimbrell, and Pamela Moon; her brother, Harold McKee; her great-granddaughter, Lainey Kimbrell and her son-in-law, Jesse Wells.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lena Wells of Bridgeport, Diane Gentry and fiancé, Don Burke of Watauga, and Susan Howell of Bridgeport; her sons, Timothy Kimbrell of Sunset and Ronnie Kimbrell and wife Yulonda of McLean; her sister, Glenda Abbott; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and over twenty great-great-grandchildren; honorary granddaughter, Kasi Johnson; honorary daughter-in-law, Dawn Dignum; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
