NEWARK -- O.L. Davis, 90, retired owner of Independent Neon Sign and retired officer of Burns Security Services, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in Ardmore, Ok.
Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dido Cemetery. Family will receive friends: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Dr. Dave Strunk will officiate.
Oscar L. Davis was born on December 10, 1919, in Shelby County, Texas, the son of Oscar Earl and Ora Faye (Galttana) Davis. He married Flora Worlow on April 1, 1940, in Weatherford. Mr. Davis was a 50 year Mason and a Past Master of Deer Creek Lodge #510 and Chalk Mountain Lodge #894.
Left behind to cherish his memory: wife of 70 years, Flora "Dutch" Davis of Newark; daughters, Loretta Strunk and husband, Dr. David Strunk of Jacksonville, Florida, Connie Williams and husband Stan, Sr. of Fort Worth; grandchildren: Starla, Shelly, Shuan, Andy, Melissa; five great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Gene Davis and wife, Sue of Newark; sisters, Margaritte "Totsy" Boydstun of Gainsville, Ethel Weaver and husband, Jimmie of White Settlement.
