Wendy Nicole Carpenter

Bridgeport~ Wendy Nicole Carpenter, 48, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gary Demmitt will officiate.  Leisha Blaylock will give the Eulogy.

Pallbearers are to include, Nikki Keller, Blaine McElhaney, Shawn Wooton, Ralla Hankins, Bryan Nabors, Bill Blaylock, and Bucky Carpenter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robby Chaney and Ray Smith.

Wendy was born on July 28, 1973 to Jessie Paul and Judy (Holland) Carpenter in Bridgeport. Wendy was self-employed and worked for many years with her family’s business. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her sense of humor and contagious laugh. Wendy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and good friend who will be missed beyond words.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Vance Read.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Cullen Locke; her parents, JP and Judy Carpenter of Lake Bridgeport; her brother, Mike Read and wife Stacie of Lake Bridgeport; her nieces, Lexi Read and Taite Read; numerous extended family members and a host of good friends.
